Bruins playoff series tied after Game Two loss

Maple Leafs tie series at one with 4-2 victory

Game Three set for Sunday Night in Boston

The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs are tied 1-1 in their first round playoff series after the Maple Leafs defeated the Bruins 4-2 in Game Two on Thursday night at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The Bruins took an early lead in the game when Brad Marchand scored a power-play goal just over five minutes into the first period. However, the Maple Leafs responded with two goals of their own in the second period to take a 2-1 lead. Auston Matthews tied the game with a power-play goal of his own, and Mitch Marner gave the Maple Leafs the lead with a goal just over two minutes later.

The Bruins tied the game in the third period when David Pastrnak scored a goal just over five minutes into the period. However, the Maple Leafs regained the lead just over two minutes later when William Nylander scored a goal to make it 3-2. The Maple Leafs added an empty-net goal in the final minute of the game to seal the victory.

Game Three of the series is set for Sunday night at TD Garden in Boston. The Bruins will be looking to regain the lead in the series, while the Maple Leafs will be looking to take a 2-1 lead.
